Alan Partridge to close Cromer Pier!

Alan Partridge to close Cromer Pier!

Cromer Pier is to feature in a film starring Steve Coogan in his role as the (in)famous Norfolk radio and TV personality Mr Alan Partridge.

While the cameras are present the pier is to be closed to the public.  The NNDC has authorised the closure from Sunday 24th February  to Tuesday 26th.

The scenes to be filmed on the pier will involve the use of replica firearms and there will be some loud gunshots.  Some of the actors will be in costume as police officers and paramedics.  Despite the fact that the film lights and cameras will be obvious some Norfolk Constabulary officers will also be present to reassure the public that the action is not for real.

The road at the front of the Hotel de Paris will also be closed to the public between the 24th and midday on Wednesday 27th February.

A helicopter may also be flying in the area for about an hour on one of the days.
